3 Always place a treat at the very end of the seesaw to create a habit in your dog of slowing down at the end instead of leaping off (which could be dangerous).

4 Very gradually raise the fulcrum or lower the platforms. Walk along the seesaw next to your dog to keep him focused and to prevent him from jumping off the side.

TIP:

It is not uncommon for dogs to be fearful of the seesaw at first. Even after they have walked the seesaw they may have periods of regressing back to fearfulness. Never push your dog to do more than he is comfortable with, as that would increase his fear. Take it slow and use lots of tasty treats.
